Advise from my Paris friends on the Cote d'Azure....

I posted this topic on the the French Riviera/Cote d%26#39;Azure forum, but I will try my luck here too.

I am thinking of visitng the French Riviera for about a week.

I would plan on at least visiting Nice(maybe for the day), maybe Monaco and possibly the Italian side of the Riviera as well, though I do not think I want to spend my entire trip in those area%26#39;s. Keeping the above in mind, which area would you stay in and why. I know this in general but I like all opinions...please! Any of these have better beaches, more to see and do, more picturesque???

I think I have narrowed it too...Antibes, Menton, St-Jean-Cap-Ferret or Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

Any advise is appreciated!

Thanks,

Robin

Just to let you know that Underhill answered your question. And I was about to do so. But I do answer only once a day usually, when I get back to work after 6PM.

If you stay for a week in the French Riviera, Nice is your best bet. Half a day is quite enough for Monaco. I will post a regular post of mine that gives suggestion for a week. You take some, you leave some. The post will be on the French Riviera Forum.

Used Nice as a base last september and loved it. However, next time, I will consider Villefrance sur Mer, it%26#39;s basically a subdivision of Nice but the sights are amazing and probably more afordable than Nice. Also, loved St-Jean-Cap-Ferret but it is overpriced in my opinion.

Hi Robin -

I posted a response to your Q on the Côte d%26#39;Azur forum. When are you planning this trip for?
