Hotel near train station

Can anyone recommend a good hotel near the train station in nice

Rule of thumb, never stay near a city main railway station.

That said, Hotel de Madrid is a popular choice. There are a few other but things improve rapidly if you walk an extra five minutes - Nice is a small compact city.

Comfort Boreal is a good compromise

Agree absolutely with NiceLife. It does seem to be a general rule that hotels near stations are not good. My wife stayed in Geneva near the station a few months ago when her flight was diverted, and had her handbag stolen at the registration desk in the hotel within 5 minutes.

The hotels near the station in Nice are probably cheap, but walk a few blocks down Avenue Jean Medecin and you will find better places. Place Massena and around has many reasonable hotels and is only 5-10 minutes walk.

What else can you say about Hotel Boreal? We have reservations in early July. Also, what will weather be like in early July? Day and evening if you don%26#39;t mind.

Can%26#39;t comment on Boreal. However, weather will be pretty hot in June and July. I have just returned and temperatures were in the mid to upper 20%26#39;s in the early afternoon. In July and August it can hit 30 or more.
