My husband and were at the tour last year and there was a highway turn off that we drove about 12 times that i can%26#39;t remember
it was an offramp from a major road
when the bike riders gt off it they were on the main road to the center of tours, under all the trees
if you went to the left you would go right back on the road out of town
if you went to the right you went to the center of tours
i am trying to scrapbook the day
and any help even if it is not quite right will help
better then just guessing
right
thabks everyone for your help
and if there are any people how look at this that are from tours
I loved your town that it was just the right side
we walked around and there was this great square that had shops and houses and open cafes
i would go back to tours again before i went to paris that%26#39;s how charming it was

I wasn%26#39;t there, but I%26#39;m fairly sure the main road to the centre which they use is Avenue de Grammont. The route into Tours last year is on letour.fr/2005/TDF/LIVE/us/300/horaire.html and there are maps on http://www.viamichelin.com and aerial photos on http://www.mappy.com/, if these help to jog your memory.
Failing all that, try the Tourist Information Office!
