Restuarant before Moulin Rouge

We are booked for the 9pm Moulin Rouge show, a family of 5. We are looking for a nice meal before the show in the area, and are also wondering whether we should get a taxi home after the show(to the Latin Quarter)

The distance from the Moulin Rouge to the Quartier Latin is not walkable after the show. Taxis can be difficult to find when the show is getting out. You might have better luck walking along bd de Clichy until you get to pl de Clichy and getting a taxi there. For meals, you could do Charlot on pl de Clichy if you like seafood; Wepler (also pl de Clichy) for a traditional meal in one of Paris%26#39; oldest bistros; or Le Peroquet Vert on rue Cavalotti.

Watch out as i have seen a pickpocket once in the line for taxis, so close your bags

Without wishing to offend anyone, I think it%26#39;s fair to say that the area around the Moulin Rouge is not the most salubrious. If it was me I would take the taxi - http://www.taxi-paris.net/page38.html gives an idea about fares.

Great fondue before the show:

Hi,

A friend has recommended seeing the Moulin Rouge show while we are in Paris June 7-11. I was wondering if anyone has seen the show and what ages it is appropriate for. My family consists of 2 adults and 3 older children (18,20,21) but we are also travelling with another family that has a 10 and 16 year old. We could always go ourselves but would like to do things together. If anyone could please comment on the show, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

The show is completely clean. There is no obscenity, double entendre, etc. Only nude breasts. If the parents can handle their children seeing nude breasts, then I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a problem.

As far as the quality of the show itself, I certainly wouldn%26#39;t go again. I went because my father wanted to see it, but I%26#39;d take the Rockettes any day!

I was just going to start a thread about this, because I was wondering about seeing a show at the Moulin Rouge when I visit in September...your reaction seems a bit tepid!!!

Thanks!

A friend of ours has just seen the show, a VERY well travelled person, and she says it was fantastic! Not to be missed. She says we%26#39;ll all love it (2 adults, children of 18, 15, and 12) Enjoy!
