nice? cannes? antibes? where to?

we%26#39;re planning a 10day trip to france the 1st week of september.

putting aside 6days in paris.. we have about 3-4 days to spend hopefully on the beach %26amp;winding down our vacation.

any suggestions for beaches? luxury? relaxation~~~~

if we decide to visit all 3 places: nice, cannes, %26amp;antibes.. do you suggest we check into 3 different hotels? or are these places close to each other enough to choose one city and move around?

your thoughts welcome!!!! =)

The three towns are in a row along the Mediterranean; so you can easily stay in just one and then take the train or drive to the others. Of the three, the beaches at Cannes and Antibes have white sand; Nice%26#39;s beach is pebbles. A number of people say the pebbles aren%26#39;t all that bad, however, and you can rent mats to cover them. So it%26#39;s pretty much a toss-up!

I%26#39;d pick Nice as being the most central to the entire Riviera from Italy to St. Raphael, and having the best rail connectons, the preferred way to get to other places along the coast.

It%26#39;s also the only one you can fly to from Paris which might be important. The train to Nice takes 6 hours, flying a bit less, but not a lot when you take transfers and check-in times into account, so 3-4 days is not a lot factoring travel time in.
