bonnieux as a base?

we will be in provence in september and am thinking of bonnieux as a base to drive to numerous perched villages for 5 days. we then will do the same for 3 days probably in vence near the nice airport. we have been to the bigger towns like avigno and aix. any thoughts would be appreciated

Bonnieux is very well located for touring the area. Roads branch out in three directions, so you can loop around without having to go back and forth on the same one.
