A couple of questions about buses and beaches

When we were in Antibes last year the Place De Gaulle was being renovated and the buses from the Airport and elsewhere weren%26#39;t stopping in the Bus Station. Where are the buses to and from the Airport stopping now (Route200). Also is it now €1.30 on the bus to and from the Airport or am I reading this completly wrong? Can I buy the ticket on the bus or do I have to buy one at the ticket office before hand?

Sorry I know this is more than 2 questions. Is there a bus from Antibes to Juan les Pins during the day, where does it stop in the center of Antibes and how often, is that €1.30 also.

Finally does Antibes have just 2 beaches with walking distance of the center, Gravette and Salis?

Any advice is appreciated

Hi Sorry, just an addition, I now see it was Plage Ponteil we were on, how much further round is Plage Salis?

Renovation of Place General de Gaulle completed - water fountains, new benches and container plants - looks terrific.

TAM introduced a flat fare 1.30 per journey at the beginning of this year. Suicidal economics for them, perhaps, but it makes the cost of travel trivial.

The 200 out of Nice heading for Cannes stops 50 metres past the PGD square around a corner. To be honest we havent tracked down the stop the other way - we got a connection only by walking to Antibes SNCF railway station, over the bridge, and 500 metres up the road theres the first stop for the 200 bound for the airport and Nice. There are lots of local Envibus services from the Gare Routier Antibes.

Antibes has three or more beaches!. Gravette is just opposite the old town off IYCA beneath the city walls, Peillon is the first heading towards Cap dAntibes, closely followed by Salis around the bend, ending at Port Salis.

Quite a walk further past Point Bacon you will get to a treat of a beach - Plage de la Garoupe. I thought it was lovely though I was footsore!

You buy tickets on the bus everywhere around the Riviera

If it helps I have an Antibes travel guide/ things to see/do tips and stuff over on Virtual Tourist including pictures of the new Place General De Gaulle a panoramic of Plage Peillon and more - save me retyping stuff Ive already written!

Thanks for your great reply, thought I wasn%26#39;t reading the info incorrectly when it said it was €1.30 on the bus as last year I think it was €8, I%26#39;ll definately check out your Virtual Tourist page
