There are many reviews of these hotels in this site. Just enter the hotel name in the search area. If found, it will tell you the rating based on reviews from the customers. I usually look for a high rating with high count of people reviewing it. The reviews gives you a general idea of the hotel.

I found Hotel de Londres Eiffel:

Can%26#39;t help you about the hotels, but can advise about the places.

The 7th and the 16th districts where your hotels are located are one of the most expensive of Paris. So the areas are safe.

If you want to be closer to the main attractions, choose the 7th district (Londres Eiffel and Valadon). If you%26#39;re looking for a shopping area, choose Hameau de Passy.

thank you Fran - may i ask do you know much about this location/hotel please? Ibis Tour Eiffel Crambronne

Address : 2, rue Cambronne 75015 PARIS FRANCE, its cheaper but i dont know if it is worth risking ?

Hi -- Ibis is a chain of reasonably prced hotels - They are clean and well kept, and I%26#39;ve always found the staff to be helpful. I have stayed in one or two of their hotels, but not in Paris, however, I wouldn%26#39;t worry about safety. I travel alone everywhere, and haven%26#39;t ever had a problem.

Ibis hotels tend to be located in less expensive neighbourhoods, which is how they are able to keep their rates down. I%26#39;ve never seen any reason to equate less expensive with dangerous - everybody I know lives in a less expensive neighbourhood - after all, not everyone can afford a multimillion dollar home. That doesn%26#39;t make us all criminals.

Hi Kate,

as one said, Ibis is a good hotel chain, for a very reasonable price. But the neighbourhood where it is located is one of the uggliest of Paris (Quais de Seine in the 15th district). Fortunatley, it is close to the Eiffel Tower.

There are other Ibis Hotels in Paris, and one of them is in Bastille, which is a much better neighbourhood.

I love the area around the hotel Ibis in the 15th because it is so very Paris. Not many tourists and lots of locals going about their daily lives. Certainly not postcard perfect, but more of an adventure than the hotels in the 7th or 16th while still being very safe.

thank you all so much for your information, its a very interesting experience going somewhere o/s for the first time. I just wanted to mention i am not as bothered about being %26#39;safe%26#39; although a consideration. I would just hate to book and pay for 7 nights somewhere i dont know and being stuck in a dump, and not getting any sleep, although you dont spend much time there can really ruin a holiday i think. Will check on your suggested hotel ta heaps..
