Hotel Recommendations

Hi all,

I am looking for a hotel in Paris that would suit the following criteria.

I plan to fly to Beauvais airport,

I plan in visiting the Paris Motorshow in Place de la Porte de Versailles,

I would like to visit Galeries Lafayette shopping center or any other similar shopping center,

I would like to also visit the Eiffel Tour.

I would like a hotel to contain a restaurant and bar and either 3* or 4*.

I would like to stay in a hotel that would enable me to visit these places conviently. I have stayed in the Mercure chain of hotels and would be interested in knowing of any Mercure hotel or any hotel that may be located suitably to visit the above place easily.

Any help would be great and very much appreciated.

Thanks.

The BEAUVAIS SHUTTLE (probably the best way to get from BVA to Paris) has it%26#39;s Paris terminus at PORTE MAILLOT

If you%26#39;ve a preference for Mercure hotels, there is one located near Porte Versailles

MERCURE PARIS PORTE de VERSAILLES--EXPO (3-star)-- 36-38 rue du Moulin, 92170, VANVES, Metro: Porte de Versailles %26amp; Vanves-

MERCURE PARIS PORTE de VERSAILLES--VAUGIRARD (3-star)--69 Blvd. Victor, 75015 , Metro:

(This may be your best bet for both access to the show at the Paris Expo and Metro connections to the rest of Paris during your visit.)

MERCURE PARIS XV (3-star)--6 rue Saint Lambert

75015, Metro: Boucicaut %26amp; Convention--

Many thanks for your help.

How long does the BEAUVAIS SHUTTLE take to get you to Paris? I also have the option to fly to Charles De Gaul airport but its a bit more expensive. Thinking though it might ne worth the extra €300. Any views?

While i like the Mercure group of hotels, I am also open minded on others. I can get the metro to most places so location in a nice area and possibly close to the shopping area might be a better option.

Thanks

Could someone help me out with this please?

Hi - I was just browsing this forum and thought the following may be helpful.

The Beauvais shuttle can take up to 90 minutes depending on the time of day. If you come into CDG you still need to allow 40 minutes or so to transfer to the centre of Paris, so Beauvais is about 50 minutes more. If the difference in flights is 300 Euros thats 6 Euros per minute!!

I don%26#39;t think I would pay that.

As the shuttle bus goes to Porte Maillot in Paris, Is there any nice hotels and shopping centers around here? Also, I plan in visiting the Paris Motorshow which is being held at PARIS EXPO Place de la Porte de Versailles F-75015 - PARIS. How convient would it be to go from a particular hotel in the Porte Maillot region to the exhibition center?

Assistance as soon as possible would be great.

There%26#39;s a wonderful little hotel within 5 minutes walk of Galeries Lafayette called Hotel Langlois. It comes highly recommended. We have stayed there three times in recent years.. It has a two star rating. It is simple, clean and pleasant. We found it on Trip Advisor a few years ago and at that time it was number one hotel in Paris. I know it has gone down the list but we will always go back. Don%26#39;t overlook the self service restaurant on the 5th floor of Galeries Lafayette (.not the Japanese one) for lunch. It is always packed with the French... they know a good thing when they find it.
