Le Gavroche?

This restaurant (rue St-Marc in 2nd) was recommended to me last night by a friend who knows Paris quite well. She said it%26#39;s particularly good for anyone who loves meat (and that would be my husband and daughter!)

Have you been there for dinner? I%26#39;d love to hear any comments, good or bad, or reviews.

Thanks.

Does this mean no one has been to Le Gavroche? That%26#39;s probably not a good sign.

I have not been, but that is not a bad sign. I have lived in my current quartier for three years and I have yet to try all the restaurants within a four block radius, even though I know that some of them are truly excellent.

Paris is chock a clock full of great restaurants and nobody can possibly go to all the good ones. Add to that the %26quot;tourist%26quot; places that are on everyone%26#39;s itinerary and our favorite locals that we must return to regularly and you actually get a very limited sampling on this site.

Give it a try and be the first to make it the next big hit with TA visitors!!!

Thanks Phread - I think we will indeed give it a try, on our very first night in Paris! It sounds like it could be aninteresting, fun place (complete with a resident three legged dog) - with good food, of course.
