What to do for 7th birthday in Paris

We will be in Paris for my son%26#39;s birthday (end of August). Any suggestions on what we could do/places to go to celebrate?

The first ones that come up in my mind would be Disney or Parc Asterix. They would be a bit expensive, but wow what day.

I%26#39;m sure the Paris experts will offer you other, perhaps less expensive ideas.

Your son might enjoy the puppet shows in the Luxembourg Gardens--and the gardens as well, as they are a great place for kids. The Parc Monceau is also a good place.

Luxembourg Gardens would certainly get my seven year old%26#39;s vote. Aside from the puppet show, she loves the children%26#39;s playground witht he %26quot;Zip%26quot; ride and the climbing thing that looks a bit like the Eiffel Tower. There is a carousel where the riders are given a wooden stick to hold out and catch metal rings from the operator of the carousel as they ride by. It%26#39;s wonderful fun with plenty of other things to do while you are there.

Just remembered: in August there should be a big amusement park/midway in the Tuileries Gardens, with all sorts of rides and other fun stuff.

I will check out the options you have suggested. Not too worried about cost for the day - after all he won%26#39;t be getting heaps of birthday presents (bit hard to take back home) but don%26#39;t want to go over the top.

My kids would vote for an afternoon at the Jardin d%26#39;Acclimmatation in the Bois de Boulogne. It is kind of a mini amusement park with a few rides, a very exciting play area and tons of fun.
