One day in Bordeaux - narrowed down to St. Emilion - place...

Hi,

I think we have decided that during our 1 day stay in the Bordeaux area, we will just focus on St. Emilion (is that a good decision?).

Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation on where we should stay? We will have a rental car, as we are coming from Spain.

Also, we will be there on a Sunday. Are the wineries/chateaux open then? Is there a list of them somewhere on the web? Do we have to call in advance and have an appointment?

The Chateau Grand Barrail is a comfortable hotel. It%26#39;s near St. Emillion, nestled in the vineyards. Good restaurant.

For Sunday visits, your best bet would be the tours organized by the Saint-Emilion tourist office. Follow this link to see the variety of tours they offer:
