Proper attire on Overnight flight to Paris on Air France

Would it be inappropriate to wear a jogging suit on an overnight flight to Paris? I want to wear comfortable clothing so I can sleep, but don%26#39;t want to look badly either. It is a new jogging suit , so it%26#39;s not worn looking. Don%26#39;t want to insult anyone onboard. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Pattyq, as long as it is clean and decent and you are comfortable. wear it. If someone on board is insulted that is their problem

Hi Patty,

Being Air France they will take no notice of you anyway.. If you want some attention go naked... Enjoy your trip. Regards David

Patty:

Comfort factor is very important on long haul flights. Go for it and I%26#39;m sure no one will have a problem .

I%26#39;ve seen people wearing worse.

I don%26#39;t know why anyone would feel insulted?

I now dress up for air travel - not a suit or anything, but neat slacks (clever ones with an elasticated section in the waist), a collared shirt and a jacket. I find I get better service and a better response from all the airline staff - and I have a pair of neat slacks and a jacket when I get where Im going. Plus of course, they really are no more unconfortable than any other item of clothing. Dont forget you will not be on the plane very long - 8 hours or so and youll be there.

Once youre in Paris, what use will a jogging suit be unless youre thinking of going jogging?

With all my respect Pattyq, I am a frequent international travel, almost never I have seen a person man or woman traveling with joggin suit. Remember you are a lady, however do as you please.

but as I said is not appropiate.

Patty...I wore stretch pants (knit like ones from Lands End) in black with a longish stretch top that covered the waist (so no one knew how comfortable my elastic waist was!). Over that I had a classic, long sweater (since I get cold when I sleep) and a scarf to pull it all together. Granted, no one was going to mistake me for a runway model, but I was comfotable and somewhat stylish.

Stay comformtable...you%26#39;ll want all the sleep you can get so that you will be rested when you get there.

BTW, on our Air France flight last fall, we had the smallest seats I have ever seen on a plane. We came from Los Angeles, and literally had our knees touching the seat in front of us for about 9 hours! I say if that is the condition you have to fly in, you should be as comfortable as possible!

I usually wear black rayon loose fitting pants (they can be dressed up or down but are very comfy) and a nice tee shirt with a cardigan. I wear clothes that I will continue to wear in Paris.

There is nothing wrong with your idea, though. Don%26#39;t worry. Nobody will bat an eye.

Pattyg -

When I used to travel for a living, I wore the tailored whatevers onto the plane. Once I had boarded, I changed in the bathroom into something more comfortable to sleep in. Then, just before landing, I changed back into my tailored whatsis. If they have been folded carefully, they%26#39;ll be just fine. Clothes that you have slept in have a way of looking as though you have slept in them.

Now I wear things that will survive being slept in, because they don%26#39;t wrinkle. They%26#39;re not up to business standards, but then again, neither am I at this age.

Be comfortable. Sleep well.
