any good triple room hotels? central paris

Hello,

I am planning a two night trip to Paris at the end of August with my two sisters. I have looked at some lovely budget priced 3 star hotels on TA but cant find if there are triple rooms.

Can anyone reccommend a central hotel that has triple rooms.

We will be flying into CDG how easy is it to get into Paris from there?

Thank you

Most triple rooms in Paris I think area double bed and a single bed in the same room, not three twins- wonder if that is what you expect?. We stayed in the Argenson, but it was only a 2 star and you may want something more elaborate.

What I do with the hotels in Paris is look for a few ideas on TA and then go to a booking site called Venere.com, which is Italian but handles all countries in Europe . If you put your dates and three people , 1 room it brings up all availabilities , their star ratings and location on a little map. I cross reference that to the list I made on TA and pick out likely candidates. The site gives you enough info to narrow down.

I usually do a web search and am able to book my final choice directly on the hotel%26#39;s own site, but if not, I wouldn%26#39;t be nervous booking on Venere- they are reputable and I believe you only paay once you arrive.

It%26#39;s a little work but I have used it for France . Italy and Germany and have been happy with the choices. We are really budget travelers and don%26#39;t mind things like no breakfast room- at the Argenson, breakfast was served in our room right when we ordered it. I think that is the kind of stuff that may bring them less stars , but if you don%26#39;t mind such things, you can find good values.

Do be careful that you get a bed configuration you can work with- many triples are designed with couples traveling with a cild in mind, and sometimes the third bed is a cot or smaller than a true bed, so read reviews carefully- or consider two rooms in a two star hotel- wouldn%26#39;t two bathrooms be a nice thing?

I think I am correct that in Europe, stars have less to do with cleanliness and location than with things like restaurant facilities and other things that really may not be important to you. Some small two stars have nice rooms, but lack all amenities of a large hotel.

I%26#39;m sorry for being long winded , but I forgot to add that there are many public transportation options at CDG depending on where your hotel is . There is an RER commuter train that runs from the airport and hooks up with the Metro within the city. and can get you pretty close to just about anywhere, Our Hotel, Argenson, is not far fom the Arc D%26#39; Triomphe and Air France has a bus that runs from the Airport and only stops at one other stop ( sort of a business area) and then at a stop right by the Arc. There is always a line of taxis there and it was only a short ride to our hotel. I liked not having to lug our suitcases up and down subway stairs, so for us that was the perfect combo. There are also various vans and shuttles. When you know what area you are staying in several of the Local Experts for Paris will suggest the best combo for you. I have sisters as well and wish I could take them to Paris- I am the only real traveler of the family, so I hope you all have a great time!

Somehow , if it were my sisters, I would have to have that second bathroom, or there would be war! Bathrooms in Paris can be small, and -just a warning- even in fairly nice hotels there is often not a shower curtain for the shower, which is hand held. I%26#39;m not sure I really mastered the correct technique- sort of squat and spray, but it was an adventure. Maybe someone will read this and post their shower adventures- I guess it%26#39;s why many French bathrooms have tile from floor to ceiling- you can really create a flood in there- and let%26#39;s not even talk about the bidet!!! ( There is a post on bidets in the Rome Forum that is being heavily censored by TA. You must go read it- it%26#39;s an absolute riot!)

Me and my two daughters had a lovely triple room - one double and a single bed - with AC and a view of the Eiffel Tower for 103 euros. Hotel du Turenne is just steps from the Ecole Militairs metro station and a couple of blocks from the Rue Cler are and the Champ du Mars. The area was upscale residential with a very Parisian feel - lots of trees and flower boxes, cafes with colorful umbrellas outside and several nice groceries and patisseries. We loved the area, the hotel and the price.

I would recommend the Ceramic Hotel near the Arc du Triumphe. It is my favourite hotel in Paris and offers triple rooms. The location is SECOND TO NONE and is easily accesable on the RER directly from CDG. It is 3 stars.

On the Left Bank, well situated in the upper-5eme-Latin Quarter or upper-6eme--Saint Germain des Prés, check out these (among others) All offer Air Conditioning---not a bad thing in August.. It%26#39;s also worth noting, that August is %26#39;..off season..%26#39; for most Parisian hotels, so always check to see if there are any discounted rates or %26#39;special promotions%26#39; on offer for any hotel you check.

I am in pretty much the same predicament as yourself...I will be travelling to Paris again this summer with my mother and grandmother and needed a room with 3 beds.

I found a one star immediately which was super cheap and in a good location for us but I am a little weary as to its standards so began searching on my own.

I used the website cybevision (which has now proved invaluable) to look up hotels in Paris with %26quot;Triple%26quot; rooms then used a website called Travel Library to search for the hotel -it then brings up their website address if they have one and/or an email address - I have then contacted the ones I was interested in by email

(god bless copy and paste!)

So far, this seems to have proved the best way for us as we now have 5 or 6 nice looking 2/3 star hotels offering us 3 beds in the room.

However, if you don%26#39;t mind sharing a bed with a sister then there are loads of standard triples to be found - double bed and single.

GOOD LUCK!

The Relais du Louvre, www.relaisdulouvre.com has several nice size triple rooms. It is in the 1st, around the corner from the Louvre. The e-mail is contact@relaisdulovre.com. They are very good in responding to e-mail the next day. the hotel is airconditioned and has an elevator. We will be returning in late June so I will be posting more information at that time.

I can definitely recommend the triples at Le Muguet( which is rated here on Tripadvisor as #25 out of the thousands of Parisian hotels.) I have stayed several times in rm.#51 which is large; 2 closets, large bath, 3 beds, a small balcony with an Eiffel Tower view, and is spotlessly clean. There is free wi-fi, a/c and has just last month been renovated. http://www.paris-hotel-muguet.com/
