I made reservations on-line--am still waiting a confirmation--and now see a blurb on the web site that says they are to be closed on 30 March 2006? Is this true? do I need to start looking for another hotel?

You%26#39;re right, they do appear to be closed. You might try to contact them by phone, if possible: 33-1-47 23 02 29 (or 33-1-47 20 65 05) is or was their telephone number. Their e-mail address: hotel.keppler@wanadoo.fr
If you can%26#39;t get a response within one or a few days, I think it%26#39;s safe to assume that they%26#39;re no longer in business.
If you%26#39;ve already given your credit card details to make a reservation, it might be wise to contact the site you made the reservation on (there are several sites that let you make reservations for the Keppler). Check their policy regarding annulation and let them know you cancel and the reason why.
