We have 5 days in France. We start in Paris and leave from Paris. We want to see Lourdes, Mont St Michael and whatever else we can reasonably squeeze in. Is it practical to rent a car and do all this ourselves? We are travelling with 2 teenagers. Thanks.

Is it practical? I really don%26#39;t think so.
Paris to Lourdes is about 850km or 500 plus miles.
Lourdes to Le Mont-St-Michel has to be close to 1000km or 600 plus miles, possibly more.
Le Mont-St-Michel to Paris is about 300km or 200 miles.
So at the very least you%26#39;d be looking at two brutally long days and one long half day driving with nothing to see but the concrete ribbon of the Autoroute and the cars in front of you.
Even assuming you didn%26#39;t want to spend any time at all in Paris, I wouldn%26#39;t recommend this trip as a vacation, and I can only imagine how two teenagers would react to being cooped up in a car for something like 24 hours out of a five day vacation.
