ANy suggestion on what type of car to rent in FRANCE for...

Many thanks for your help !

|||

The only car that can make the deal is a %26quot;mini Van%26quot;.

I think some of the big rental companies have some, but I%26#39;m not sure.

You can also try the Mercedes ML (with 2 optional seats) or the Volvo XC 90 (also with 2 optional seats), but I suppose the rental companies don%26#39;t have them. Try also to ask for the Fiat Multipla (a very ugly car, but it has 6 places)

Ask for a Renault Espace or something like that. The Peugeot mini vans will do the job as well.

|||

I%26#39;ve got the same number of people and belongings and have found that it is MUCH cheaper to get two small cars than renting one mini van. Just a thought for you.

|||

Two small cars would be nicest, but , if not then only a mini van would be comfy at all.

Check with Autoeurope for pricing and size suggestions referencing your specific requirements.

If you are going to be doing any amount of driving, ask for a diesel as its cost is significantly less than gas. If you are going to travel on the autoroutes, the tolls required for 2 cars may not make that option a lot cheaper. If you have some idea of your itinerary, you can check fuel and toll costs at:

Even in an Espace minivan you%26#39;re going to be cozy!...if not two cars, then at least this and diesel is the way to go...good luck and stop OFTEN to stretch....
