Hi midnight, sorry I am unable to reply by email but replying via the forum gives quality control as others can comment on what I tell you if they disagree. The sheets pillow change issue probably depends on the terms and conditions but in general you would wash them yourself for an apartment rental. A/c, etc depends again on the terms and conditions of rental of the particular property. Have you checked out the terms and conditions on the places you are interested in and if they dont have them posted, think twice about staying there.

Midnight,

Having only rented 1 apt. in Paris I am not an expert, can only give you my experience--- My friends and I did check into dozens of places before we picked one. Location was the main factor for us.

We used a U.S. company based in California--their website included pics and info. on all their apts.

Many Paris apts. do NOT have AC. So when you are going would be important-- I understand Paris can be hot and steamy in the summer. Most of them have washer and dryers[at least the ones I%26#39;ve checked out] but they are French appliances and can be a little confusing. Changing your bedding would certainly be up to you--unless you hire maid service-- I havent seen that offered. I think that all apts. that have kitchens are equipped with the basics-- dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. YOU do the grocery shopping[ which is a lot of fun in Paris!]

Hey cat --

The questions you posted should be posed to your rental agency - only they can tell you what you want to know. You should ask them before you make your rental decision.

I won%26#39;t rent an apartment without a washer and dryer. Being able to do laundry when I choose is one of the conveniences for which I rent a suite in the first place.

When I%26#39;ve rented, the linens have been provided and were my responsibility to launder - although some agencies would provide maid service for a fee -- I%26#39;ve always thought that I would rather do what I do at home and spend the maid money on dinner out. So - I put the laundry in the washer in the morning before I leave - and move it to the dryer when I get back in the afternoon -- by the time we%26#39;ve had our cocktail hour wine and cheese and made our decisions re our dinner spot - the sheets are ready for the bed. We make it up before we go - and all is well.

I always take with me a good sharp knife, a nonstick omelet pan, and a supply of my favourite tea bags. Everything else I shop for on arrival, althoug, most places have had some basics, salt %26amp; pepper for instance.

It all depends on the company. We rented through Paris Vacation Apartments www.parisvacationapartments.com and they had anything and everything we needed in their Palais Royal apartments. The 3 bedrrom apartment even has daily maid service. And, they were always available for questions, directions, help in any way. We have rented through others before and had a washer/dryer combo and no a/c and no coffee maker--go figure--and nver saw or heard from the management. So, read the list of what is included and don%26#39;t count on anything else.
