Could someone please advice me on which airlines fly cheaply between these two destinations. Thankyou for your help.

None, not a one, not even on the fifth Tuesday of the month when it coincides with a full moon.
I could think of a variety of baroque ways of getting to Stansted from Paris, but the simplest and quickest would probably be to take the Eurostar to London and then public transport to Stansted from there.
You *could* for example take the TGV to Lyon, get to the airport and then fly to Stansted with EasyJet, which is off the top of my head about the least baroque of a variety of alternatives I can come up with.

As noted, there are no direct air connections between any of the Paris airports--CDG, ORLYm BVA--and STN. You can get there by air...but you%26#39;d have to fly somewhere else first to start.
Your best--and most %26#39;direct%26#39;--route might be the EUROSTAR from PARIS-Gare du Nord to LONDON-Waterloo International and then either Tube or taxi across town to LIVERPOOL STREET station for the STANSTED EXPRESS out to the airport....or check around to see if you can change your connecting London flight from Stansted to LHR or LGW??

I%26#39;ve given this a bit of thought, and I%26#39;ve come up with what is almost certainly the cheapest, possibly the quickest and easiest way to get to Stansted from Paris. You need to take the TGV to Tours and fly from there.
If you are not travelling before mid-August you should be able to find a 20€ advance purchase non-refundable fare for the 70-75 minute TGV journey to Tours. The sooner you are travelling the less likely it is that you will be able to find that fare.
Then take the shuttle from the Tours bus station to Tours-Loire Valley airport (TUF), fare 5€, departing at 11:45. From there take the Ryanair flight to Stansted, leaving at 13:45, arriving Stansted at 14:10. The fare should be no more than about 40€, possibly as low as 25€.
You would need to take a train leaving Paris no later than 10:00 to give you a comfortable margin to find the shuttle, and earlier wouldn%26#39;t hurt.
Total cost , perhaps as low as 50€, but say 65€, would probably be less than the cost of a taxi across London combined with the Stansted Express, and certainly less than the cheapest available Eurostar fare alone.
For this to work your travel date is important. You can%26#39;t book the TGV ticket more than 90 days in advance, but should book as close to that as possible.
For timetables, etc. go to:
www.voyages-sncf.com
www.ryanair.com
Also look for MorganB%26#39;s excellent post with step-by-step instructions on using the SNCF online booking system before you try to purchase your tickets, should you decide to try this route.

I have started using http://uk.sidestep.com quite a bit - it compared not only the normal fares, but budget airlines AND fares shown on opodo and travelocity. very useful
The cheapest fare they show Paris/Stanstead (depending on when youre travelling) is either Air Berlin (with 10 hours in Dusseldorf) or KLM (with a couple of hours in Amsterdam)
Fly to Heathrow and get the stanstead shuttle bus for £20 is probably the easiest way. londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow_stansted_b…

Irish guy
the trouble with flying from Tours is that pedal and pray only fly from TUF a couple of times a week. They fly from Poitiers every day, however.

Wiz of the sexy new avatar -
ryanair.com is showing flights 7 days a week from TUF toi STN. Possibly a summer schedule?
|||

Ryanair site is a bit of a monster to use....... I find, anyway! So Im never amazed what I dont know about pedal and pray

Hi,
Early morning playing with timetables!
How about Paris CDG Easyjet to Newcastle, arrives 1900 each evening cost about 35euros.
Then get off the plane, unload luggage, check in, put luggage back on the plane you got off which is now the 1940 to Stanstead, cost £13!
Schedule might be a bit tight, so you could also have an evening in Europe%26#39;s party city (apparently).
Best wishes

Thankyou, I really appreciate all your replies. I might have to scrap this option for a day trip.

Too bad you didn%26#39;t tell us in the first place you were trying to make a day trip to Stansted. It would have saved a number of people a fair bit of wasted time and mental effort. We all - not unnaturally - thought you were trying to get to Stansted to take a flight somewhere else.
Why someone would want to make a day trip to Stansted I have no idea. If it is London you are actually trying to go to, the answer is one word long - Eurostar.
