We are booked at this hotel in July based on recommendations of family but they stayed there a few years ago. Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently or does anyone have any comments?
Also any restaurant recommendation in Saint-Germain area - good, inexpensive French food - perhaps a local bistro or similar.
Thanks for your help.

Le Nemrod, at the corner Rue Saint-Placide/Rue de Vaugirard, is a very pleasant brasserie, not overly expensive, with a great terrace for people watching.
You%26#39;re not far from the famous and extremely popular bistrot L%26#39;Epi Dupin on Rue Dupin. Make sure you book a table in advance to be sure to get in.
For a splurge after a long day out, have tea or an aperitif at the bar of the Lutetia.
Don%26#39;t miss the food court of Le Bon Marche. As for other bistrots, you%26#39;ll find a lot here by doing some research.
While the hotel is not in the middle of all, you%26#39;ll be on a very quiet street off Rue de Sevres. A very Parisian neighbourhood and not too touristy, I%26#39;d say.

I can%26#39;t help you with this hotel but I can recommend you a nice hotel called Hotel Suede Saint Germain, http://www.suede-saint-germain.com/ located in the same area. it is a really clean and confortable hotel. It is nicely decorated with lots of charm. The hotel is well situated near the famous Bon March. It is a great location.
Enjoy Paris

Another cafe I like in the Sevres-Babylone area is Cafe Babylone which sits kind of behind Au Bon Marche. It%26#39;s on the other side of an underground parking garage which looks like a small park.
It%26#39;s a great place to be at midday when all the local guys and gals from the surrounding businesses come in for a quick bite and a chat with a colleague. The Maitre D%26#39; is a rotund man with a gruff disposition but helpful if you%26#39;re quick and decisive about your choices. The flow is heavy at noon so don%26#39;t be put off when he almost throws the basket of bread on your table. The day%26#39;s specials are on the chalkboard behind the bar, the tables are small and space is at a premium, but sitting amid and watching the workaday habits of Parisians is worth it.

Thanks for your helpful suggestions re restaurants etc in this area. A bit disappointed no-one has any first hand experience of this hotel but, as you say, the location should be one of its better features.

You can read first-hand experiences, when you type the hotel%26#39;s name into the search box in the upper left corner. A VERY positive one there, very recent!

Sorry, that was about the Saint-Gregoire. But you%26#39;ll be fine just as well.
Have a great trip!

There are three reviews - the hotel name is misspelled...

So, Kiwi, how was the Hotel de Sevres Azur? My husband is looking at it for a business trip Oct. 2006.
