Has anybody tried Le Coupe Chou restaurant? Can anyone recommend a good jazz club for Monday 5 june, a place where you sit and listen, dark and smoky in the Coltrane/Davis mode please-- no dancing.

I can answer about Le Coupe Chou, at the risk of stirring up debate. I think it%26#39;s a very popular tourist destination, and people either love it or hate it. I loved it. I went with two friends -- one loved it also, her friend didn%26#39;t like anything on the menu. I got the duck, which was excellent, though everyone raves about their salads and I wish I%26#39;d gotten one. The restaurant has great ambience, it feels like a cozy cellar. There was a fire going when we were there in March (though there probably won%26#39;t be in June)! I was comfortable there with my two friends, but it%26#39;s also definitely a great place for couples.
As for jazz clubs, I%26#39;ll let a Paris expert weigh in.
