Champ St Pere - St. Vincent Sur Graon

Hello

My Wife and I are staying near Chamo St. Pere in early June. We enjoy Eating and Drinking can anyone suggest any nice places.

We are also on the look out for anything to do.

Can you make any suggestions?

Thank you for any assistance.

You will be near the seaside at La Tranche or La Faute, or lovely beach at Longeville.

You could look for fossils at Longeville%26#39;s Le Rocher beach. Or visit the charming beachside retirement home of WWI politician Georges Clemenceau at St-Vincent-sur-Jard. Look for neolithic stones (dolmens and menhirs) in the area around Avrillé or Le Bernard. Visit amazing Renaissance Chateau de la Guignardiere at Avrillé, or ruined fortress built by Richard Coeur de Lion at Talmont-St-Hilaire. (not sure whether they will have the wonderful night-time visits going in Talmont by June, but they are worth a trip if so.)

Play golf (the Vendee has 5 courses), eat mussels at L%26#39;Aiguillon-sur-Mer; visit Attractive little town of Luçon (good restaurants include Le Boeuf Couronné and Le Mirabelle); great, smart restaurant on clifftop to the west of Talmont, Le Cayola. Must book!

Lots of info on www.the-vendee.co.uk

I am sure you will have a great time.
