Finding Auberges and Traditional Food

Hi, We are soon traveling to Loire Valley and would like to find traditional and local food at auberges etc for lunches and evening meals? What is the best way to locate restaurants etc that serve local produce and dishes? Is there a particular restaurant guide we should use? Nothing flash just good honest food required!

Hi,

If you try a search on these sites you will find many restaurants and auberges listed. The Logis are usually very good and the standard of food served (from traditional/local through to Michelin*) is indicated on each establishment. The site is easy to navigate.

The Tours website (ligeris.com) also has a link to many, many restaurants.

If you indicate where in the Loire you are staying, we may be able to help further as we spend time each summer just south of Tours and would be able to recommend several restaurants in that area.
