I want to try to google for locations of BNP ATM or BNP banks in Paris and in France . I am hoping they can be found in other towns of France too besides Paris.
What does BNP stand for so I can search for a web site to print up the locations?
Or if some one knows the web address I would appreciate the information.
Thank you.

I hope this link works

BNP Paribas stands for Banque Nationale de Paris Paribas (but everybody - including the bank site - says BNP Paribas)

here is the web address : http://www.bnpparibas.com/
But why are you so concerned with BNP Paribas. In France, any credit card, as far as it is international, can be used in any ATM.
And of course, you will find a BNP ATM in every little town.

Use mappy - it will show you the locations of ATMs if you ask it. I even found a new ATM on mappy in an area I know quite well!

FranParis,
The reason Discover is asking this is because she is about to embark on a three month trip around France. BNP is a partner of Bank of America. In being such, B of A does not charge fees to it%26#39;s customers who use a B of A card in a BNP machine. This is a big savings and since Discover will be in France for an extended period of time, it appears she is looking for a list of banks to access during her travels.

https:/…
Use this to search for ATM locations. Make sure the only box checked is %26quot;Distributeurs de billets%26quot; and then in the box to the right of %26quot;ville%26quot; enter the town you%26#39;re looking for.

Thanks everyone and Mascara you are right. B of America will charge me $5.00 for every ATM transaction that is not done thru BNP.
I will go look at the web addresses now.
Thanks everyone for the last minute answers to my questions.

%26quot;aje...%26quot; Thanks for the help. I used the web site and ask the question %26quot;distributer de billet%26quot; and put in the town, When I ask about Sarlat and Rocamadour the site goes into %26quot;error%26quot;. Can you access this and see if there is an ATM machine in those two towns?
If it just comes up agenies what does that mean? ( Bank only?)
Also what is an ATM machine called in French?
If you go into a BNP bank and use the debit card with a teller will they charge you a fee ? Though I am told no fee at ATM machine?
Thank you for the help.

Agence means branch
You can%26#39;t get cash from a clerk with a card (only with a cheque book and it%26#39;s not free)
ATM are called %26#39;Distributeurs Automatiques de Billlets%26#39;

Thank you !

I%26#39;m with Wiz. I%26#39;ll be in Aix for a month and went to mappy.com. It showed me exactly where the BNP ATM was nearest my apartment. I tried the BNP website, but found mappy much easier. Plus, it shows you lots of other useful information as well.
