Good restaurant around the Gare du Nord station?

We%26#39;re just in Paris for a couple of hours between getting trains- I know areas around train stations aren%26#39;t usually known for good restaurants but is there somewhere not too far from Gare du Nord you would recommend?

Help very much appreciated.

perfect acceptable feed! In fact in a lot of cities this would be a restaurant people would seek out!

I second Terminus Nord, it%26#39;s a member of Flo chain along with bofigner etc. and it has a good reputation. One of the best in the area.

Thanks very much- I%26#39;ll go and make a reservation now! Nat

There is also a very good bistro 1 block SW of Gare de Nord on rue Belzunce called Chez Michel.

Chez Michel is infinitely superior Gerlis

I would say the Terminus Nord too. Excellent food, staff and decor; and very reasonable (particularly by UK standards!).

Check the menu at Chez Michel, it has a great reputation but is reknown for regional cooking of a style that includes a lot of offal (not my taste, every time we%26#39;ve looked at the displayed menu we haven%26#39;t see anything we%26#39;d like to eat!)

The chef Proprietor is a Breton Gerlis
