We are coming in to Tours on a Sunday. I checked on autoeurope.com for the car rental and the downtown office is closed on Sundays. The only place open is the airport. How far away is that from the train station? The hotel has offered to arrange for the rental car to be delivered to us (at the hotel) and can be left there upon check-out. We would then have to take a taxi from the train station and back when we depart. Which is a better(cheaper and more convenient) way to go?

One thing I can tell you is that the best way to deal with Autoeurope is to use their 800 number.
