sob sob sob aaaaaarghhhh!!!!!!

I just can%26#39;t decide which hotel to stay in and where.

1. Its our honeymoon - so it can%26#39;t be a crap budget hotel.

2. We%26#39;re going 1st week of october and it%26#39;s apparently %26quot;exhibition time%26quot; (whatever that means) so all the rates are higher than usual

3. We don%26#39;t wanna spend more than 100 euros a night

5. we%26#39;re only staying for 3.5 days so it cant be too far away from the good stuff and the river i guess.

:SOB: SOMEBODY...HELP ME.

I can%26#39;t help you, but I thought I would cheer you up.

First of all, you%26#39;re getting married, so that%26#39;s something to be happy about. Second, you%26#39;ll be on your honeymoon, so even if it%26#39;s not a very fancy hotel, I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll find a way to enjoy your room, wherever it may be. Finally, you%26#39;ll be in Paris, a beautiful city, and as a newly-wed it%26#39;ll probably be exceptionally special to the two of you.

Good luck and no more sobbing!!!

Something of a contradiction!

Check out Hotel Chopin. It is charming and romantic. Not airconditioned but you won%26#39;t need that in October. Also www.parisby.com You can search by district and then number of stars and cross check your picks on tripadvisor.

Congratulations!

First of all, love your sign-in name...very funny. Anyway, I, too, was looking for a hotel that was central (somewhat), in a fun, interesting area, and, bottom line, affordable. For me, 25, fun-loving and looking for Parisian atmosphere, I was told that I would enjoy most a hotel in the 5th, 6th, or 7th. (I think that corresponds to Latin Quarter-St. Germain des Pres area...can%26#39;t be absolute...I%26#39;m no expert!). Not sure what suits you but to me this sounded great and that%26#39;s where I booked a hotel. But, if you go to the Paris inside pages, there%26#39;s a write-up on the different parts of town, descriptions, etc. and you can also make a fairly well-informed decision by reading that.

As for finding a hotel....go to the hotels tab at the top and scroll down to where you can choose to search for hotels at %26lt;100. Then, it will list all the hotels in that price bracket. You can then scroll through them and look at the zip codes....the last 2 numbers correspond to the arrondissement. (---06 equals 6th, ---12 equals 12th, etc.) Finding out that little bit of info helped me A LOT! Then you can just browse your price bracket and area at the same time, along with the reviews of the different hotels that look interesting.

Also, you can use www.france-hotel-guide.com. They allow you to choose the area and price bracket. Often times they have post sales and with many of the hotels, you can book or at least inquire about the hotel/rooms online.

Happy travel planning and Congrats on your wedding!

Do what everybody else does. Spend hours on this Site. Decode the correct/good reviews from the overthetop/rubbish ones. And hope you are a Real Good Judge ! we learn from our mistakes.

Pick one that is central %26amp; enjoy. I agree that you do not need to spend much on a hotel in Paris, you will not be in it too long - after the first night lol - only kidding.

Spending a lot of money on a hotel in which you will only be in for a short time is like buying a car that costs a lot of money.

A car gets you from A to B at the end of the day. Ditto Hotel in Paris.

I second the referral to the Hotel Chopin - it%26#39;s a nostalgia sort of place - ask for a room on a high floor in the back - no street noise and a wonderful Truffault-movie sort of view over the roof tiles -- it%26#39;s situated at the end of a passage - an arcade with small shops - very Parisian - I found it romantic - my husband surprised me with a week-end in Paris when we were in London on business - and the Chopin was the perfect touch -

BTW - at that time breakfast was very expensive - we went out -

Bon voyage

Look up Hotel Des Mines. Good location, clean, comfy, rooms are a bit small, but good rates.

I think you will find something for your budget.

Second the recommendation to not do hotel breakfasts, cheaper on your own. Plus room is cheaper without breakfast.

Great location, a 5-minute walk to the Seine and Notre Dame

|||

Hotel le Relais Bosquet and Hotel du CHamps de Mars, both near the Eiffel Tower, are inexpensive and decent places.

So is Hotel des Jardins de Luxembourg.

Good luck, you%26#39;ll find a place.
