Things to do around Biarritz

I%26#39;ve booked 2 weeks end of June at Le Ruisseau Campsite in Bidart outside Biarritz. Anyone got any good suggestions for must see places in this area?

What age group are you entertaining?

Just myself and my husband, late 30%26#39;s... I%26#39;ve since bought a very good guide book for SW France. But if anyone has any must see places to recommend, I would be grateful. We%26#39;re into exploring towns, villages, countryside etc. not much interested in sitting on a beach for 2 weeks.

Apparently there%26#39;s a music festival on June 21st (Solstice) in Bidart where we%26#39;re staying, so definately will check that out.

how blissful to only have yourselves to entertain!!

St jean just down the coast is great for a lazy coffee in the square, Bidart has a good restaurent called the august and when you%26#39;ve eaten you can wonder down to the beach and watch the sunset, san sebastien is meant to be lovely but we have yet to make it there as we have 2 kids who dictate our day ( and yes I love them both) we loved the mountains and the railway up to the top but choose a clear day so as to get the best view, we are going tomorrow so will send any new info when we return.

1. St Jean de Luz - beautiful beach, nice village to walk around, with shops and restaurants.

2. St.Jean Pied de Port - pretty village

3. San Sebastian - Spain - absolutely beautiful, do not miss.

4. Take the ferry from Hendaye to Spain for lunch, have tapas, sangria.

5. Ainhoa - small ancient basque village.

Thanks for the info! Will definately check those places out, I%26#39;ve been to San Sebastian many years ago (back packing) and loved it, my husband%26#39;s never been to this area so look forward to showing him.

Roll on until the holiday!! :)
