Sorry about this - I just could not find an answer on the search. How long is the trip from Paris Nord to the Louvre? Exactly what train to take or would a taxi be better.
We are planning just a day in Paris from London - not ideal, but better than not at all!

It depends a bit. There doesn%26#39;t seem to be a straight line from Gare du Nord to the Louvre, so you will have to walk a bit or change lines.
You could take the RER (line B) to Chatelet, and walk from there to the Louvre.
Another option is to walk to the Gare de l%26#39;Est-Verdun metro stop (not too far from Gare du Nord), and take the metro (line 7, direction Villejuif-Louis Aragon) to Palais-Royal/Musee du Louvre.
In both cases, it%26#39;s about 15-20 minutes. The distance is about 4 kilometers, so if you%26#39;re not familiar with the transport system in Paris, it might be easier to take a taxi.
