Aardvark re MW

Saw on the bottom of your other post that your son had just come back from MW and enjoyed it.

Does he have children and did they use the kids club?

Did they venture out of the MW resort?

Any highs and lows?

Sorry for the Spanish inquisition but we are going there for 2 weeks on 11th June, counting down the days to departure now.

Thx Frances

Hi Frances, I only got the outline of his visit, and I%26#39;ve just tried to ring him and he wasn%26#39;t there. He was certainly positive about the MW complex and his daughter, who is 2 yrs 3 mths loved the club so much she wanted to go there morning and afternoon. Good beach and he had good weather. They only had a car for a couple of days as his daughter is car sick and was only able to see a small part of Corsica. He wasn%26#39;t particularly impressed with Bastia. However, they do want to go back to Corsica - I%26#39;ll post again when I%26#39;ve spoken to him - we are away at the Hay on Wye festival with him from tomorrow, but will be back several days before you go.

I think Ive said before that the MW complex is perhas not ideally situated to see the best of Corsica, nevertheless there are lots of trips, short, medium and long you can do from there, and it does have the advantage of bing on a relatively fast stretch of road (just about the only one on the whole island!)

Thanks Aardvark would be very interested in his opinion when you get back, hope you have a lovely holiday/break.

Our son is 3.5yrs so great that your granddaughter enjoyed the kids club, I would love the idea of just a couple of hours a day off. Great news that its a nice beach as we all love building sandcastles.

Heard that there is not much worth driving North from there but thought maybe towards Corte or South, got the rough guide and Cardogan guides yesterday so need to have a read. Our son is a good car traveller, aided by a portable dvd ( bad mummy moment) , he is also very entertaining at i-spy. %26quot;I-spy with my little eye mummy, something beginning with c for car%26quot;, me %26#39;errr car%26#39; ,%26quot;well done mummy%26quot;.

Have a fab break and very interested in whatever you managed to glean from him. Did their daughter eat the food, that is our one downside a fussy eater, not fussy over icecreams though!

Thx Frances

Hi Frances, just got back from Herefordshire - absolutely fantastic (but that%26#39;s for another thread!).

Son and his wife confirmed their good reports of the MW complex. Good selection of food at all times, plenty of activities for adults and children (they tried snorkelling for the first time).

The only downside being the position, as I said before, perhaps not the best place in Corsica for seeing the island.

However, you don%26#39;t have to go far to experience what Corsica has to offer. Inland from Moriani Plage would make a good start, and further afield, Corte as you say, or beyond Ponte Leccia into the Asco valley.

Have a great time and do let us know how you go on.
