Does anyone know anything about the Youth Flexi Eurostar Pass available on the RailEurope website?
I%26#39;m really a bit confused and overwhelmed with my transport options.
I%26#39;ll be spending two weeks in London before heading to Paris for a six week study abroad program. My plane ticket is open jaw (fly into London, out of Paris) so I figure the best way to get to Paris is one-way on the Eurostar. The problem is that it%26#39;s really expensive (well, I%26#39;m a college student!). This pass is only $100 (as opposed to the usual $150 fare - all the $75 youth fares are already sold out for the date/time I have to leave) and it seems perfect because it%26#39;s one way and flexible. The website says that once you get the pass you can then reserve your seats. It only gives a reservation phone number for Britain and France, so I%26#39;m guessing I%26#39;d have to wait until I get to London (which will be on June 11th) to reserve.
I guess the real question is, if I get the flexi pass, will I have any problem reserving seats 2 weeks in advance for the morning of Saturday, June 24th?
Thanks in advance!

I can%26#39;t help with all the info you need, but, I strongly recommend you just go to the Eurostar site, not RailEurope.
You don%26#39;t need a rail pass, you just need a ticket to Paris. There are youth rates available for the Eurostar and it is pretty cheap, D NOT get the one way, get the round trip and do not use the return portion. Travel mid day and mid week. Shouldn%26#39;t be more then 90 euros, and you can reserve your ticket online and pick it up at Waterloo. We did, and it all went fine.
Hope someone can give you more help. Do try the Eurostar site though, and use your french address.

Oh, I am sorry , I should have read your post better. I didn%26#39;t catch that you were leaving so soon, it is probably too late to get the deals we got. You should have booked about two months ago to get the best rates as the cheap seats go fast. Oh well, it is only money, you will make more of it , so , have fun and go into debt( just kidding, well only half!)

If you want to save money you could take the Eurolines coach from London to Paris. It%26#39;s only £33 ($60) youth fare one way even on the day of departure and discounted if you buy 7 days ahead. Takes about 7 hours.

Thanks for your responses! I feel like such an idiot for not getting my ticket earlier...it seems I%26#39;m going to pay the price - literally. Ajeleonard, I will look into the coach bus recommendation.

a phone call to UK reservatopm number isn%26#39;t that expensive, especially using prepaid phone cards or those 10-10-xxx service.
