Le Bois Masson campsite

First time to France in August with 15, 13, 9 and 7 year old children coming in at Cherbourg going to le Bois Masson. Anyone got any idea of journey time and poss probs we may experience on way?Anyone stayed at this park-we would be grateful for your comments on its suitability for our family. Thanks.

It will take you about 5 hours to drive from Cherbourg to St-Jean-de-Monts.

My camping days are over, but I think I have heard that Bois-Masson is quite lively, which should be good for the children. And loads of Brits there, so they are sure to make friends.

Fantastic beach at St-Jean-de-Monts; they%26#39;ll love that too.

See www.the-vendee.co.uk for suggestions of things to do, and for routes from Channel ports - including the all-important instructions for getting round Nantes!

You%26#39;ll find help with the route at http://www.viamichelin.co.uk. It gives 261 miles of which almost 200 are motorway, and 4 hours 37 minutes (how can they be so precise!?) They also give locations of speed cameras ;-) As here, petrol/diesel is generally cheaper at out-of-town supermarkets.

Have a great holiday!
