We're Off and Running

Early tomorrow a.m. (Wed. 31st) I fly to San Diego to meet up with my son (the one who won our trip to Monte Carlo on the Price is Right). I can%26#39;t thank you ALL enough for all the valuable information you have provided and which I have put in my %26quot;travel book%26quot; to take with me. My only regret right now is realizing how many TA people have met in Paris and that would have been so much fun but know it%26#39;s a little late now to make connections. I don%26#39;t know what I%26#39;m allowed to say exactly here so don%26#39;t know if I should reveal my name or what. I can say that Don and I will arrive in Paris on June 16th ( 5:00 p.m) and already have a reservation for 9:00 dinner at Altitude 95. We have 4 more days after that in Paris but taking Monday 19th to go Eurostar to London. Sat. is not a completely planned day yet; Sunday planning on Louvre, Notre Dame and St. Chappelle. Tues. to Montmare/Sacre Coure and then walking around and enjoying Paris (thanks to suggestions from Irish Rovr to take time to REALLY enjoy Paris. Have been learing a %26quot;few%26quot; French expressions on BonJour.com too.

Is it okay for me to ask if anyone is interested in meeting us? We will be at the Duquesne Eiffel Hotel. I will tell them at the desk my name is also known as DO RAE. Don and I will be in San Diego until early Friday morning so I will also check the Paris Forum for any replies. I mentioned this to Don and he said, wow, that would be %26quot;cool%26quot;, Mom.

No matter what, I really have enjoyed planning this trip with all your help at TA. I must tell your that 44 years ago, my husband and I spent 2 days at the end of our honeymoon thru Europe. We went home and said we didn%26#39;t care if we ever went back to Paris. Now I am REALLY excited to be able to go back and see Paris again, only in a completely different light. Too bad we didn%26#39;t have Trip Advisor back in 1961!!! I promise to let you all know about our trip when we return. I already know it will be wonderful!!

DoRae...how exciting for you and your son! You will have a %26quot;cool%26quot; time, I can almost guarantee...and I hope you%26#39;ll be able to meet up with some TA folks...we were able to in London and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Looking forward to your trip report when you return.

How exciting for you, I do hope someone will be able to meet with you, but, as stated, it is a bit %26quot; last minute%26quot;!

Still what fun you will have, remember , it is all an adventure.

Funny how you mentioned 1961, my mom was there in 1960 and didn%26#39;t fall in love with Paris either, unfortunately for her, she did fall in love with a Parisian and was forced( lol) to stay for 2 yrs until she convinced my dad to come to Canada! Fortunately for me, I was born there, and love it, but, of course I remember nothing of Paris until we returned and visited when I was 10.
