trains

Hi,

I%26#39;m trying to get information on traveling from Paris to a small town in France in the Creuse area called %26quot;Gueret%26quot;. I am told that I have to take a train from Gare Austerlitz to La Souterraine and then get picked up by someone with a car. I am traveling on a Sunday, so the bus connection from the station to Gueret does not run.

I tried the website for trains and cannot find the info I need. Is this a regular train or a TGV?

Then, to get from Gueret down to Avignon on the following Wednesday, what train would I be able to get? I know it would be a straight shot from Paris down to Avignon, but I have to make this stop in between. From Avignon, I would like to take the local trains to Arles and Aix-en-Provence. From Avignon, I will be going to Nice and staying there for two weeks. I%26#39;d like to take local trains and buses to the surrounding towns. Any help and info on train and bus travel would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I don%26#39;t know what %26quot;website for trains%26quot; you tried, but you should be able to find the information you are looking for on the SNCF (French rail) site:

You assuredly will not be able to get to Gueret by TGV, but you may be able to get part of the way there by TGV and then switch to a local train.
