Going to Moulin Rouge in July but undecided about going at 9pm or 11pm.
I am usually tucked up in bed by 8pm (only joking), but can anyone tell me are there any differences between the 2 shows %26amp; would there be a distinct advantage going to one rather than the other ?
Is one show full or both, less atmosphere at one etc,
Or am I being a fussy duddy ?

Considering that the performers of the 1st show are the same on the 2nd, I would chose the first one as they will be less tired 5I%26#39;m jocking, they are professional). However, if you want to go out after the Moulin Rouge, and visit the Pigalle Neighbourhood, what could be fun, pick the 9 pm show.
But if you prefer to have dinner in a nice restaurant first, (please, not in the sale area), chose the 11 pm.

we did 11 p.m. show -
it%26#39;s a bit cheaper
and we had fantastic fondue nearby at Le Refuge des Fondus

Without trying to be funny, I would skip the 9 pm AND the 11 pm show.

I recently used Cityrama for a show at the Moulin Rouge. I was traveling solo and didn%26#39;t want the hassle of transportation. When I called the day before the show to get my pick up time, I was told that if I went to the 11 pm show rather than the 9pm show, I%26#39;d get better seating. The reason given was that they serve dinner at the 9pm show and the diners always get the best seats. There%26#39;s no dinner before the 11pm show, so you can get a better seat. I stuck with the 9pm show and had a lot of heads at the front of our long table who had been there for dinner.

From my last trip in Jan %26#39;05-
Diners DO get better seating at the 9pm show and going on the advice of a friend, the dinner is NOT worth it so we went to the 11pm one and got great seats - not sure if it would have happened naturally but I did tip the usher and we had a fantastic, unobstructed view close enough to the stage without having to strain our necks or get picked to partake it the show. I%26#39;m a watcher!
I realize that a lot of people think it%26#39;s a cheesy show...and it is. But I was interested in seeing a campy, silly spectacle in this famed Paris insitution and it was my Mum%26#39;s favourite part of her trip, musemus be damned, so it was worth it just to see her enjoy the caberet-style theatrics. Go with the knowlage that you%26#39;re not witnessing a Shakespeare play and have a giggle for 2 1/2 hours.
One BIG tip; stick with the champange they give you with your ticket price and drink slowly, any extra drinks will be insanely expensive. I heard stories of tourists ordering just a few more drinks and ending up with a 100 Euro tab at the end. Unless you have that kind of dough...ouch.

Thank You Mimmy %26amp; Litepack - 11pm on Saturday July 8th it is.
I will let you know how I got on. Dinner we can get anywhere but
view of the show much more important.
It is, a once in a lifetime, must see show !
