First time to Paris -- a family of 4 -- 2 girl teenagers ages 18 and 16. I%26#39;m overwhelmed about the areas of paris and need some help! Would like to be able to walk as much as possible. Don%26#39;t care for subways. Hope to see the Louve, Eiffel tower, notre dame. Unfortunately, we only have 3 days. I love the thought of a beautiful boutique hotel but can be risky ... should I just stick with a chain hotel? Mostly, I need help with what area to stay at. Good location, safe, clean, walking and in the heart of things. Any help is very, very much appreciated!

Even a %26#39;chain%26#39; isn%26#39;t the same in Europe, that is for an American-based chain, ex. Best Western.
Do you want two twin / double rooms, or a quad for all 4 of you? I recommend the first, so you also have two bathrooms for everyone.
Will you need A/C (ie. late June-August)..?
The heart of Paris is quite safe for walking - you%26#39;ll have to check the hotel reviews to see if it is deemed to be %26#39;clean%26#39; . The most central part of Paris are the arrondissements (%26#39;zip codes%26#39;, sort of) of the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and some folks like the 7th (Eiffel).
There are many recommendations for Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche, which is very near Notre Dame, or Hotel Leveque near the Eiffel (but not so near everything else).
