Paris on a Wednesday night?????

Hello,

My friend and I are going to be in Paris for the first time on Wednesday the 21st of June. We have limited time in the city(wednesday day which we are thinking Disneyland Paris, wednesday night, and thursday). I am wandering where are the hip/fun restaurants, bars, clubs or areas to visit. We are 21 and looking to party Wednesday night. We are staying at the Eiffel Hilton and i was thinking that as we are their 1night, when we are leaving the hotel to go out for the night, it would be good if we could go via some sights for some nighttime-photo-ops but i am curious whats the best way to do it, and how. Any suggestions and ideas would be much appreciated as i am a Paris Virgin.

Thanks in advance, all.

IMHO, forget about disneyland. really, with such limited time- you should spend your days walking, and walking. and visit a few major attractions. this way, instead of having a jam packed itinerary that will requite you to take a taxi and the metro every hr, you can see, and feel the city. you wont regret missing any attractions, because you didnt have them on your itinerary, and the time spent will seem longer than it is, being that you are not rushing from attraction to taxi to restaurant.

visit the louvre if your an art buff for your favourite paintings. if not, walk around it and go up the champs, see the arc, walk down to the tower, take a river ride, get a bite to eat- and walk around throught the evening for some photo-ops as u wanted. go freshen up at the hotel and go out clubbing till morning. then sleep until checkout.

its what i would do- see the MAJOR things of the city and take some pictures, and not worry to much about the smaller, though equally cool places to visit... becuase u wont have the time. instead, walk around- see the people, and party a la parisien for a night.

have fun.

Hi,

We are pretty hardcore and dont mind being constantly on the go. Thanks for your suggestions. We definetly want to do Disneyland on the Wednesday and will make sure we are at the hotel for late-dinner time giving us enough time to get ready to go out. We are in Paris untill 8pm Thursday and hopefully we can see all the major sites in that day. As for taxis, hopefully we will only have to get one and that will be from where-ever we decide to go out at the night(been hearing good things about the latin quarter) back to our hotel at the eiffel tower. As for night sights. Out hotel is at the eiffel tower so that is covered and if their is away to see sights on route to wherever we decide to go out to at night from out hotel then we will do that. Maybe their is a cheap boat-trip, open bus tour in the evening around 9pm-ish that will take us from the eiffel area to other more lively, busy and hip areas to party into the night.

Please keep your advice coming,

Greatly appreciated

Oh and again, if you know any bars, clubs or areas that are lively on a Wednesday please recommend them to me.

Just thought i would let you all know my travel inteniery for my short stay in Paris incase you can recommend me the cheapest rail tickets/passes to buy.

Wednesday: Beuvais straight to Disneyland, Disneyland to our hotel at the eiffel tower, eiffel tower to wherever we are going to go out to for the night; which will possibly be the latin quarter, then back to the hotel...this will be in the early hours so a taxi will be the likely option, then thursday do some sightseeing in Paris then back to Beuvais at night.

For your first day%26#39;s travel, your best option would be to buy a one day Zones 1-5 Mobilis pass for 12€10. This is not only cheaper than a round trip ticket from Porte Maillot to Marne la Vallée but you will also be able to use it for the RER within Paris and for the métro or bus until the time of the last train, approximately 1:00 AM Thursday morning.

For your second day your best options will depend on how often you think you and your friend will use the transport system within Paris before you arrive at Porte Maillot to catch the shuttle back to Beauvais. You can either buy individual tickets for 1€40 each, a %26quot;carnet%26quot; of ten individual tickets for 10€70, or Zone 1-2 Mobilis passes for 5€40 each,. So if you do the math you will figure out which of these options will work best for you.

You *should* be able to buy one day Disneyland passes at the Porte Maillot métro station for 43€ each

The tickets for the shuttle from/to Beauvais cost 13€ each one way. The shuttle from Beauvais usually leaves 20 minutes after your flight arrives. You need to be at Porte Maillot 3 hours 15 minutes before your scheduled flight time to board the shuttle.

BTW I haven%26#39;t been following your other thread but I seem to recall that your flight arrives at Beauvais at 9:35 AM. Although it takes only a little about two hours to get from Beauvais to Marne-la-Vallée, by the time you figure in the time you will need to find the métro station, buy your tickets, find your right platform, make your connection at CDG-Étoile and so on, I think you willl be doing VERY well to get to Disneyland by 12:30PM, assuming your flight is on time. (I%26#39;ll be happy for you to prove me wrong!) I get the impression that you are hard core Disney fanatics so such a short visit may be worthwhile for you. By the way, there are no left luggage facilities at Marne-la-Vallée RER station, and I *think* none at Disneyland, but no doubt you already have that figured out.
